PÄTER
“Somewhere between Muse and Hilary Duff.” This is the response from Iran-born, Toronto-raised Parmida Kakavand, the mind behind Päter, when asked to describe their meld of Alt Rock, Singer-Songwriter and Pop. After their viral debut “Dam, Damn” in 2020, Päter has independently gained an international following for their sharp lyricism and eclectic sound. The release of their 2024 debut LP “4-7 Company”, co-produced with Howard Redekopp (Mother Mother, Tegan & Sara) landed them features on CBC and Exclaim!, and Obscure Sound. 2024 saw Päter performing on festival stages across Canada, securing their distinction as an artist on the rise. In 2025, Päter is embarking on their first EU tour of Germany and the Netherlands.

In his music, the Viennese rapper with North Macedonian roots addresses life as a migrant in Austria – with honesty, directness and without clichés. His visual trademark is an always polished bald head. After a tour with RIN, he is now back with his album “Hund” in 2024. An act with depth and attitude!

Berlin
City of music
Whether hip hop, RnB, pop, rock or jazz: In recent years, Berlin has become one of the most sought-after musical hotspots on planet earth. With international major labels, publishing houses, a great variety of newcomers and established artist, the capital city of Germany is a vibrant hub for music, extending far beyond the world of techno which Berlin is traditionally known for.
Location
Locke at Eastside Gallery
Come to the Eastside!
Above the rooftops of the city, the creative pulse of Friedrichshain meets the nobility of a modern design hotel. At the same time, the Eastside Gallery is a place where a dark part of Berlins history comes to live: less than 40 years ago, the inner German border, nick-named the “death-strip”, meant a fatal end for more than 600 people who were seeking for the freedom we are enjoying today. Aware of the dark past of this location, Sky Mic specifically marks a place of creativity and openness to the world, where freedom and diversity are explicitly welcomed and celebrated.
